Every CSA Z195 certified boot carries one or more marks on the tongue or shaft. They are not decoration: each one certifies a specific protection, and your site's safety plan will name the one you need.
The marks and what they certify
A green triangle means sole puncture protection with a Grade 1 protective toe cap. A yellow triangle is the same puncture protection with a Grade 2 toe. A blue rectangle is a Grade 1 toe with no puncture-resistant sole, and a grey rectangle is a Grade 2 toe without one.
Beyond toe and sole there are marks for electrical hazards: a white rectangle with an orange omega for electric shock protection, a yellow rectangle with SD and R for static dissipative, and a red triangle with a white C for electrically conductive footwear. A dark grey rectangle with an M adds metatarsal protection, and a white rectangle with a tree is chainsaw protection for forestry.
Which ones we stock
Eight of the 24 Blundstone styles on our wall are Work & Safety models, and every one states CSA Grade 1 in its own spec sheet. See the full symbol table or browse the Work & Safety range.
Bring the requirement in with you
If you are not sure which mark your site asks for, bring the requirement and staff will match it against what is in stock. It takes a minute and it is the difference between a boot that passes an inspection and one that does not.
